Scorched Earth 3D

I always thought it would be cool to play a 3D version of the popular classic Scorched Earth. Unforunately it seems no one was up to the challenge of creating such a game, so the only solution was to make my own game.

In college I started to develop an algorithm for dynamic terrain deformations. This terrain could be modified and deformed on the fly. The end result is a large deformable landscape that can show craters. Perfect for a 3D Scorched Earth game.

At some point I needed more incentive to make this game. Luckily I discovered the Independent Games Festival and I am trying to finish the game before the Sept 1st Deadline.
